OMG! I finished the first Zodiac book a couple says ago and may I just say… I think I found my latest obsession. Don’t get me wrong I love all my books and I do have favorites *cough* Fourth Wing *cough* TOG & ACOTAR *cough*, since I have read them I hadn’t been able to find any that give me the same feels but I will say that Zodiac has definitely given me all the feels and more.

To shorten a very long and wonderful story… It is a tale about twins and all their adventures. They are all alone in the mortal world. Their parents are long dead, no family, no friends, they have no one but each other. From the human world they are taken to Solaria where they find out they are fae, with magic.

Okay so let me tell you about these twins because WOW. Like I’ve read books with siblings before but this? This hits different. These girls have literally only had each other their ENTIRE lives and you feel that on every single page. The way they protect each other, the way they just know what the other is thinking, the way they’d burn the whole world down for each other…Theres is romance involved yes, but I feel like the most important love story is between the sisters. I’m not crying you’re crying. It reminded me of the Archeron sisters but like times a thousand because these two have been surviving together since day one. Just them. Against everything. And honestly that kind of bond just gets you right in the chest.

Now Solaria. Can we talk about Solaria for a second? Because I thought I’d seen it all with Prythian and the whole dragon rider world but this brings something fresh. The magic is tied to zodiac signs which is such a cool concept? Like everyone has powers based on their celestial alignment and it’s not just some random detail – it actually matters. The academy setting gives major dark academia vibes mixed with cutthroat fae politics and I am HERE for it. You’re discovering everything right alongside the twins which makes it so immersive.

The feels though. Oh my god THE FEELS. Without spoiling anything there are moments in this book that had me literally gasping out loud. You know those scenes where you have to put the book down for a second and just process? Yeah. Multiple times. The romance (because yes there’s romance and it’s *chef’s kiss*), the betrayals, the moments where you’re not sure if the twins can survive what’s being thrown at them… I was stressed, I was swooning, I was LIVING for every page.

And the character development? These twins start as scrappy survivors who don’t trust anyone and watching them navigate this new world where they’re supposed to be royalty but everyone hates them? The growth is real. They go from defensive and closed off to slowly (and I mean slowly because it’s realistic) learning to open up, to trust, to embrace their power. It’s messy and complicated and sometimes they take steps backward but that’s what makes it feel real. They’re not perfect and I loved them even more for it.

So should you add this to your TBR? Um YES. Absolutely yes. If you loved any of the books I mentioned, if you’re a sucker for found family (or the family you’ve always had), if you want magic that’s actually interesting, if you need morally grey characters and enemies to lovers tension and plot twists that’ll wreck you… this is it. This is the book.

Honestly? I think Zodiac might be working its way into my top favorites and that’s saying something because I’m very protective of that list. It’s got everything – the magic, the angst, the romance, the sisterhood, the us against the world energy. Does it beat Fourth Wing? I don’t know yet, ask me after book two. Is it on the same level as TOG and ACOTAR? Getting there. What I do know is I haven’t been this excited about a series in a long time.

Fair warning though – once you start you’re gonna lose sleep. You’re gonna be thinking about it at work. You’re gonna annoy your friends talking about it (sorry not sorry). And you’re absolutely gonna need the rest of the series immediately.

I’m already on book two because there’s no way I can just sit here and not know what happens next. Trust me on this one. Zodiac deserves all the hype. Now excuse me I have a date with book two and I’m not coming up for air anytime soon! 📚✨
